Our agreement

These Terms of Service (the Terms) are an agreement between you and RoundHound, the operator of the interview-rehearsal service available through this website (the Service). By creating an account, buying an access pass, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

RoundHound is a preparation tool. It is not an employer, recruiter, school, credentialing body, or representative of the companies you research. It does not arrange employment and cannot guarantee an interview, offer, promotion, or other hiring outcome.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to enter a binding agreement where you live. The Service is not directed to children under 16. If local law requires a higher age or a parent or guardian's authorization, that rule applies to you.

Give us accurate account information, keep your sign-in method secure, and tell us promptly if you believe somebody else has used your account. You are responsible for activity through your account unless it resulted from our failure to use reasonable security. Accounts and passes are personal; you may not sell, transfer, or share access credentials.

What the Service provides

RoundHound can research public information about a target company and role, turn that research and the context you choose to provide into a practice plan, and run time-boxed interview rehearsals. Depending on the feature, a room may include code, whiteboard, document, notes, text, or voice interaction. The Service can save transcripts and workspace changes, provide an AI interviewer or private coach, and produce quick or multi-reviewer feedback grounded in the material created during a rehearsal.

Some targets are generated for a particular user; others may be pre-made. Feature availability, limits, models, workspaces, review depth, and supported devices may differ by account, pass, target, or development stage.

AI, research, and practice material

AI output needs your judgment

Research summaries, plans, questions, interviewer turns, coaching, transcripts, rubrics, and assessments may be created or interpreted by artificial-intelligence systems. They can be incomplete, outdated, inconsistent, or wrong. Voice transcription can mishear you. Review the output before relying on it, especially when a decision matters.

Public interview research is uncertain

Research uses public company material and public reports from candidates and other sources. Those sources may describe a different team, level, location, or older hiring process. A source link or confidence signal is context, not a warranty that a future interview will follow the same format. RoundHound is not affiliated with a researched company unless we say so expressly.

Practice questions are for rehearsal

RoundHound creates original practice material informed by public patterns. It does not promise that a prompt is an employer's real question. Do not use the Service to obtain, submit, or distribute confidential, stolen, leaked, or unlawfully obtained interview material. Similarity between generated material and a real interview can occur and does not establish an official connection.

Your content

Your Content includes the job information, notes, résumé, profile details, stories, questions, messages, spoken-answer transcripts, code, diagrams, documents, feedback, and other material you submit or create in the Service. You keep any ownership rights you already have in Your Content.

You give RoundHound a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, format, transmit, display, and otherwise process Your Content only as reasonably needed to provide, protect, troubleshoot, and administer the Service, follow your sharing choices, and meet legal obligations. This license lasts while the relevant content is held for those purposes and ends when it is deleted, except for residual backups and records we must retain.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit Your Content and allow this processing. Avoid uploading employer secrets, another person's personal data, or material covered by a confidentiality duty unless you are authorized to use it for this purpose. You are responsible for checking and redacting a résumé, recruiter message, or job document before submitting it.

Mentor rooms and sharing

You may create a room link for someone you trust or request a mentor from a past room. When you do, you direct us to share the room information needed for that person to join and participate. Depending on the room, that can include your identity or display name, target and round details, prompt, transcript, workspace, timing, and feedback. The room interface shows what the mentor can access.

Treat invite links as private. Anyone who can use a valid link may be able to claim or enter the room, subject to the Service's sign-in and claim controls. A mentor you invite is an independent user unless we state otherwise. RoundHound does not control what that person remembers, copies, or does outside the Service, so do not share information you are uncomfortable giving them.

Mentors must respect the candidate's content, privacy, and the acceptable-use rules below. They may not use a mentor room to harass, discriminate, solicit secrets, misrepresent an affiliation, or publish a candidate's material without permission.

Acceptable use

Use RoundHound for lawful preparation and evaluation. You may not:

  • use it covertly during a real interview, assessment, exam, or hiring exercise where outside help is prohibited;
  • impersonate another person, misstate your qualifications, or present generated work as your own where disclosure is required;
  • seek, upload, or distribute confidential employer material, leaked questions, trade secrets, or unlawfully obtained personal data;
  • harass, threaten, discriminate against, exploit, or invade the privacy of a candidate, mentor, interviewer, or other person;
  • probe, bypass, or interfere with authentication, access limits, billing, safety controls, rate limits, or another account;
  • introduce malware, attack the Service or its providers, scrape it at scale, or use automated access without our permission;
  • reverse engineer or extract models, prompts, question banks, datasets, or other protected parts of the Service except where applicable law expressly allows it; or
  • use the Service or its output to violate law, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, contractual duties, or these Terms.

Starter access and one-time passes

RoundHound may offer a Starter allowance and time-limited access passes. A pass is a one-time purchase and does not renew automatically. It is not a subscription. The checkout or offer screen describes the price, duration, included target allowance, and any fair-use or feature limits that apply to that version of the pass. A later purchase may be queued to begin after an active pass ends.

Payments are completed through Stripe-hosted Checkout. Stripe processes your payment method; we receive order, customer, amount, currency, status, and related transaction identifiers rather than your full card number. A checkout redirect alone does not grant access. Access begins only after payment is verified and the entitlement is recorded.

Reasonable use and safety controls may pause the start of new AI work while already authorized work finishes. A refund, chargeback, dispute, fraud concern, account sharing, or confirmed misuse may pause or revoke access. Any refund or cancellation right comes from applicable law or a specific written offer; these Terms do not create an additional refund entitlement. Nothing here limits a mandatory cooling-off, refund, chargeback, or other consumer right.

Our materials

The Service, its software, interface, design, branding, prompts, rubrics, generated practice collections, and other materials supplied by RoundHound or its licensors are protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them for your own interview preparation while you have access.

This right does not let you resell the Service, publish or commercialize a question bank or assessment, remove notices, or use our branding to suggest endorsement. Feedback you voluntarily send about the Service may be used without restriction or payment, but we will treat personal information in it under the Privacy Policy.

Service operation and changes

We work to keep RoundHound available, but an AI provider, speech provider, identity provider, payment provider, network, browser feature, or our own systems may fail or change. We do not promise uninterrupted access, a particular response time, compatibility with every device, or permanent availability of any model or feature.

We may update, add, restrict, or remove features to improve quality, safety, security, legal compliance, or sustainability. Where practical, we will avoid materially reducing the core access already included in a paid pass. Mandatory rights and any specific promises shown at purchase remain unaffected.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and can delete supported plans, sessions, and résumés from their product controls. Contact us for an account or privacy request.

We may limit or suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate security, payment, safety, legal, or misuse concerns. We may terminate access for a material or repeated breach of these Terms. When circumstances allow, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to fix the issue. We may act immediately where delay could harm users, providers, the Service, or others.

Provisions that logically continue after access ends—including ownership, payment records, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—remain in effect. Content and records are handled as described in the Privacy Policy and as required by law.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not warrant that research, generated content, transcription, feedback, or scoring is accurate, complete, unique, current, or suitable for a particular employer. You remain responsible for your preparation choices, submissions, interview conduct, and employment decisions.

To the extent permitted by law, RoundHound is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost opportunity, income, profit, goodwill, or data, arising from use of or inability to use the Service. This does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any responsibility that mandatory consumer law places on us.

Consumer rights and disputes

These Terms do not waive rights you cannot waive under the law that applies to you. In particular, statutory guarantees about digital services, cancellation rights, remedies, and access to courts or consumer authorities remain available where applicable.

If something goes wrong, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If we cannot, you may use the courts, regulators, consumer bodies, or other dispute processes available under applicable law. These Terms do not impose a private arbitration requirement or select an exclusive governing law or venue.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the Service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version with a new date and, when a change is material, provide reasonable notice in the Service or through available account contact information. Changes do not apply retroactively where the law prohibits that.

The current contact for RoundHound is support@roundhound.ai. Please include enough detail for us to understand the request, but do not email passwords, full payment-card details, or sensitive résumé content.
